Week Forty-Nine: August 1st-9th

Headed camping!  This year we spent a few days camping at Twin Lakes with our dear friends the Aksel's along with our Thompson cousins and Grandma and Papa.  It was so fun!  We went to Bodi, spent a day at the lake, went hiking, and all around just enjoyed time around a non-existent camp fire with family and friends.  The kids enjoyed riding bikes and feeding deer as well as playing games.

Somehow they decided this was actually the poop on the potty game....

We then headed to family camp. Joey made quick friends with Mrs. Sivcovich and she took him for ice cream while we set up camp.  We hit up our traditional spots, Cascades, North Fork, Granite, June Lake, and more.  However this year we completely got hailed out at North Fork.  A high light was seeing Mrs. Grubb carry a beach umbrella through the woods.  And unfortunately this year we did not out smart the bears, who had a significant amount of our breakfast food.  The plus side was sharing breakfast with the Sivoco's all week :)  The kids continue to love campfire games and songs and spending the week with friends.
